A rope is tied between the collar and the chair. As the slaves wipe the floor with a rag and move forward, the rope makes the chair move, just like a carriage. If the slaves slack off in cleaning, don't respond to the Female Teacher's questions, or pull the chair roughly, the Female Teacher hits them with the cane. Under the watch of the Female Teacher, the slaves must clean every corner of the room. When the Female Teacher finds any small pieces of dirt, she hits the slaves with the cane, and she enjoys riding in the carriage in a good mood.
